Young children as partners in developing Aistear the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework

Using a Portraiture methodology, a research study called 'Listening for Children¿s voices: Children as partners in the Framework for Early Learning', children were consulted in the development of 'Aistear: the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework' in 2009. Using a Mosaic approach, 12 children in 11 settings, aged from 9 months to six years, told the research team what they enjoyed doing, who they liked being with, and what places they enjoyed being in. All the Portrits are available on the Aistear website. I was responsible for the portaits of 'Caroline' and 'Andrew'.
